Watercolor is the perfect medium to use for painting water and reflections. Because of its transparency it allows us to create effects that other mediums cannot. Students will learn about colors to use for painting reflections, when to add colors for soft and lost edges, still water reflections, broken water reflections, and painting rocks underneath the water. Value, color intensity, color temperature and color mixing will all be stressed as tools for painting. We will also focus on letting the paint and water flow and letting them do the work. Get ready to experiment and have fun painting!
