Oftentimes when painting en plein air, it is all too easy to over-analyze and waste time as the desired light effect slips away, leaving us with an incomplete study. By resetting our expectations, leaning on fundamentals, and understanding basic composition/design we can approach every plein-air sketch with confidence and efficiency while capturing a truthful impression of the desired scene. Each morning, class will begin with a demonstration and outline for the day, followed by students painting on-site with individual critiques from Brock interspersed. Prerequisite: Foundational experience with outdoor plein-air painting.
