Acrylic and Collage Flower Painting

Students will work with images of favorite plants, patterns, objects and colors as inspiration to create a still-life inspired artwork. We will explore fundamentals of composition, scale, values and color theory. Teresa will give a series of demos at each stage to show material, paint and collage techniques. There will be plenty of time to develop one’s artwork and lots of one-to-one support from the instructor. We’ll look at the paintings of modern and historical painters to kick off the workshop and our time will include drawing and painting exercises with positive discussion and feedback.
